Alicia Crank - Ambassador Chair

Women’s Pro Hockey Seattle welcomes Alicia Crank, the new Ambassador Chair for the campaign to bring a women's pro team to Seattle.

Alicia will lead campaign ambassadors at in-person and virtual community activities and events while she aids in the promotion of the local movement.

"I'm honored to be a part of this campaign! I love helping rally the community around women's initiatives, including sports. We see that there is an excitement for hockey and women's sports in general, and it's time to help bring a women's pro hockey team here to Seattle," says Crank.

Born and raised in Detroit, Alicia has been a hockey fan since attending her first Red Wings game at Joe Louis Arena when she was 10 years old. She often states that she was fortunate to grow up in Hockeytown, while also being able to enjoy other major league basketball, football and baseball teams. Her love for hockey continued to increase while spending nearly 20 years in the Bay Area attending San Jose Sharks games. After relocating to Edmonds in 2014 and attending Thunderbird and Silvertips games, she’s ecstatic that Seattle once again has an NHL team.

Alicia worked in Institutional Banking and as an Executive Director for a community leadership program before growing her career in nonprofit fundraising. She spent several years in this field at Washington Business Week and YWCA Seattle|King|Snohomish. She is currently the Chief Development and Equity Officer for AtWork!, a statewide workforce development nonprofit serving persons with disabilities.

Alicia’s social time is also centered around building community and has been appointed to a number of boards and commissions. She serves as Chair of the Edmonds Planning Board as well as Chair of the Snohomish County Airport Commission. She’s also a board member at the Hazel Miller Foundation and the Seattle chapter of the National Organization for Women.

She’s also the Founder of Edmonds International Women’s Day, an annual event that began in 2019.

When she does have downtime, Alicia enjoys taking road trips, attending various sporting events, live theater and the occasional jaunt to Whistler and Las Vegas.
